I feel obligated to write a review for this book because I loved this series so much and I'm so sad to have finished it, and to leave the Three Worlds. Wells does something truly exceptional with the worldbuilding in this book, and the construction of so many unique and interesting fantasy races. If you love immersing yourself in new places, read these books. The journey of Moon going from finally finding where he belongs to truly feeling that way is excellent, without sacrificing the plot or adventures along the way.
Might possibly be my favorite of the series - which is kind of a mixed blessing because it's the current end of the series. In spite of Jade, who I've never actually liked, and who made a choice that I totally agree was the right one, but her actions afterwards makes me want to slap her. Like, urgh. So terrible and that's the big thing at the end of the book. I mean, it was still great because we spent less time around her than we did Moon and Chime - and possibly Root and Stone - and it did give us a nice wrap-up. But, still, Jade needed to be slapped. By someone.
