I've been sitting here trying to think about what to say about this book for what seems like forever. I don't really have to much to say about it because not a whole lot happens.

Like I said not a whole lot happens in this book. The Gunslinger is following the man in black for the whole book with a few obstacles thrown in and that's pretty much it. That's not a spoiler because it literally tells us that's what happens in the synopsis. Anyways, while reading it I was a little confused about some things and honestly I still feel confused now that I have finished it and I am left with some questions but seeing as this is the first book in a 7 book series I am hopeful that those questions will be answered the further into the series I get.

Even though this isn't the greatest start to a series I was still hooked immediately. There was something about it that drew me in enough to keep me reading it. I listened to the audiobook while following along in the book which I think helped me a lot. I loved how King told the story and I liked the characters and want to know what's going on and what is going to happen. Normally I find him to be overly descriptive but that's not the case with this book. I found his descriptions were on point and I could easily imagine the world.

Overall I thought this was an ok start to the series and I will definitely be pick up book 2, the Drawing of the Three very soon.
