The Guardian of the Palace

Red, Scan, Bear and Rocks are attempting to adjust to civilian life after leaving the military behind. While working security detail for a local construction site, Red witnesses ... well she isn't sure exactly ... but she knows they weren't human or any kind of animal she's ever seen.

It soon becomes clear to her and her friends that something otherworldly is trying to destroy Earth. It also becomes clear there are creatures attempting to save it. Banding together, can they stop the threat in time to save the world?

You know those books you read, where you lose track of time, where you blink and it's hours later? That's this book. The geeky humor throughout this one had me tickled and laughing ... a lot. Grundle is hands down my favorite with Red coming in right behind because...well badass female...who doesn't enjoy that?

I love that this is set in a real world. I love that this is a fantasy meets skeptics. It's Sci-Fi. It's magic. It's good writing and fun characters. It's plain awesome and everything I enjoy!
