The Girl on the Train

I read this to see what the hubbub was about. This book has a huge waiting list at my library. I went in cold, no reviews and no idea what it was about. It's very readable. Great storytelling trance. I pounded it out in less than two days and found myself regretting that I couldn't get back to it. It's a thriller and I normally do not read thrillers, and there were some times I wanted to reach into the book and smack some of the characters. Some of it is believable when you read it, but then when you think about it later you'd be hard pressed to rationalize some of the actions of the main character.
Great beach read. Highly recommended for someone who wants to be absorbed by a story.
