The Fifth Season

Oh my gosh I'm sorry I waited so long to read this. It's SO GOOD. The worldbuilding, the writing, the characters, the general level of emotional depth and nuance, the foreshadowing. It grabbed me from the first sentence and didn't let go. This is one of those rare books that gives me hope for fantasy as a genre.
