The Fifth Season

I have very mixed feelings on this book...

Pros:
- Very creative and interesting story and plot
- Interesting writing style with a unique use of a second person POV
- A good example of a resilient and strong female lead.
- A very cool and surprising ending.

Cons:
- Graphic and disturbing sections discussing abuse and poor treatment of children and others
- I was uncomfortable with the sex and relationships associated with it were presented.
- This story is generally depression and a big downer
- I struggled to get through the book I almost gave up on it several times.
