I found Fforde's first Thursday Next book really fun with a great detective/adventure story. The best part of this book is the anachronism present throughout, giving us a unique picture of how London could be if there were a few key differences (such as time travel)! The only criticism I have is that the book is very busy. There are so many elements to the story that with a new world to get used to, it gets a mite confusing. I'm eager to pick up the next in the series!
