The Eye of the World

It is very good epic fantasy. Of course, as Lord of the Rings was the Father of Epic Fantasy, there are similarities, but there's enough differences to make it original. Frankly, I don't get the comparison. It's epic fantasy! This is what epic fantasy is! Sure, we have most of the tropes, but this is one of the books that cemented those tropes :-D
Anyway, I liked it. I'm looking forward reading all of them. :-D
