The Egg and Other Stories – 4 Stars
This short audiobook surprised me in many ways—its length, the brevity of the stories, and their content.
While you can catch glimpses of Andy Weir’s signature wit, these stories are more about unexpected twists and clever turns. The result? Lots of fun from a talented writer.
A quick, enjoyable listen for those who appreciate tight, surprising storytelling.
It's difficult to rate this collection of short stories, they can be hit or miss
Honestly, this is extremely impressive.
I remember the first couple stories I wrote as a child. One was a guy getting ready for a battle. One was post apocalyptic and the guy found an apple. They weren't much, but little Kyle was proud of himself.
I would love to get paid for the things I wrote when I was a child. Free money really. Props to Andy.
Oh, The Egg is really good though
As the blurb states, this is a collection of witty and unexpected tales. I've only read The Martian by Andy Weir and recall it being hilarious. These short stories don't have much humour but twist in the most unexpected ways imaginable.
