Slightly better than the previous book, but only slightly. If only because it managed to sum up all the storylines, albeit quite rushed and coincidentally easy to resolve in the end. This series simply wasn't for me.
At the beginning I still was worried about Eadlyn because of her personality, but as the story continues I learned how to love her. The plot at the end will make me think for the next couple of days. I'll love to see how will be the futere of Illéa with the new decision.
2.75* honestly just below average. I dont buy the romance at all and i didnt see enough character development. My advice would be to stick to the selection trilogy.
and it's over :”””(( this series has had me in an absolute chokehold for the last few weeks and this was a great ending for illea & the royal family. i love eadlyn sm i want her to be MY queen. im so emotional omfg
I had figured out who she had fallen for but wasn't sure how it was going to play out. I'm pleased she followed her heart. It was a quick and easy read and I had been looking forward to finding out the conclusion as I had read the other book around lockdown.
I am sooo disappointed, I really hoped that she'd marry Kile, it would've been so cute and perfect.
WHY WAS THIS SO SHORT?!?!? My heart is broken at how incredibly rushed this was. I'm incredibly disappointed in the rushed writing and the lack of story development.
The ending was good, her choice was good, but still...very upsetting.
i wanted to cry when i finished it. i couldnt believe it was the last selection book. i read the first book 2 years ago, my mom picked it and when i saw it i was like oh sure ill read it. i went to camp and so many of my friends were commenting on how good the book was. when i finished it, it instantly became my all time favorite book, and it still is. the selection series has become an amazing part of my life, even as young as i am. if i ever have kids, a daughter specifically, with no doubt this book will become a part of her life too. thank you Kiera Cass, for this amazing life changing experience you have given me.
Leuk boek. Vond het eem beetje snel gaan met het hele pats-boem, met jou ga ik trouwen, maar alsnog wel leuk
3/5 stars
The Selection series has been a guilty pleasure of mine for around three years now, and seeing it come to an end really saddens me. However, I am pleased with the outcome and know that no matter how many times I read the books, they will never grow old.
