The Catcher in the Rye

Even though I found the constant use of ‘or something, really depressing, and all' annoying in the beginning I definitively enjoyed this book. The way he says ‘I could've done that but I didn't feel like it' resonated with me a lot. Or the way he got really sad at little things and how overall frustrated he was with simply existing and ‘phonies' made me like the character. I think I hated him at first because I saw a lot of my behaviour in the character.
