Ok, it took the third book in this series to hook me in. This book was by far the best of the Charlotte Holmes series that I read. I usually don't like books that are written in 2 different perspectives (Holmes & Watson pretty much every other chapter), but for this story it just happens to work. A fun read from beginning to end.
Enjoying the escape of the audiobooks. This volume was markedly better than the second. Made me want to finish the series.
I'm glad the story flip flopped more between Charlotte and Jamie, but having them apart for most of the book was a little disappointing. Only because I like having them bickering back and forth! I do like being in Charlotte's head so this is probably my favorite of the three so far.
I really enjoy this series and a large part of that is because I love Sherlock retellings. There is just something so unique about them. I also really love Brittany Cavallaro's take with Charlotte and Jamie. This installment started of very different from the previous two books but it still had the same feel and once I got used to Charlotte's side of the story I loved her added voice! Hopefully that continues in A Question of Holmes.
