The Body Farm

I have indulged in this series for the last three weeks. this is the fifth book I have read. I enjoy the fast paced, and well done research to make everything both well explained and easy to fallow. I love the characters and love the way each story adds to the series. I always seem to say this is my favorite after each one. I am extremely drawn to the relationship that kay has with each members of her team and I love her niece Lucy.

For a doctor-lawyer Kay Scarpetta is one of the dumbest characters I have ever come across. She knows who the killer is and just does really ridiculous things that end up putting her in bad situations. It's definitely not the first time I've wanted to scream ‘what the heck are you doing?!?!'

The wooden dialogue, totally cliche black-or-white characters and obvious self-insertion overrode any attempt at plot.
