The Awakening

I really thought I would hate this and read it simply because we are having a Vampire Diaries Party at work this summer. The story is simple, it's instalove, it's a love triangle, but this book predates so many others that were clearly just riffs on the same story. So, it gets cred for being a front runner, and it moves along at a great clip. Elena is a total bitch and everyone else is simply a stock character, but it's entertaining b.s., so I whipped through it. Do I care to read any more? That's a nope.
