The Ask and the Answer

I'm shocked, actually, how much I enjoyed this book. It was definitely better than the first one. It's told in the two alternating voices of Todd and Viola. In this installment, the pair are pitted against each other, each working for opposing sides of a huge war that is brewing on their planet, New World. Although neither fully believes in the totalitarian beliefs of their own side, both are drawn in by a hatred of the other side and by a feeling of powerlessness. A surprisingly gripping and engrossing book.
