Logan is seen as the perfect son. Never argued with his parents and never went agents the status quo. Until he moved from Portland to Rainbow Cove and opened a tavern with his friends. This is the first time he has ever done something for himself. With this move Logan is determined to be more of himself and explore the Dominate side of his sexuality.
Curtis is the coves extremely sexy wood carver and artist. His man died 2 years ago after a tragic motorcycle accident, and took Curtis's passion for life with him. Curtis is a Sub looking for anything to make him escape his day to day life. When the, new gay friendly, tavern hosts a leather night, the lade back/ preppy cook, was the last man Curtis thought would be able to give him what he needs.
I loved the dynamics of these two and the role reversal. Society fits us into these boxes that no one truly fits. Logan and Curtis, due to looks, are expected to fill specific roles that don't fit their needs as individuals. Annabeth Albert always does a nice job showing grief and the process of moving forward. I like that she added Logans need to show who he is vs. finding out who he is. Many of us know who we are. Its allowing ourself to accept or become that person in society, thats the challenge.
The cranky lumberjack and sunny small town restaurant head chef, start a kinky FWB relationship
Beginning was slow for me, but it really picked up at the halfway mark.
The story deals with grief, standing on your own without parental approval, and letting your true self show inside and out.
Kinky with a side of wholesome small town
