as someone who is a teacher with anxiety and adhd, i wanted to appreciate the diverse main character, but i didn't really like the portrayal of them. the author wrote him as very childish rather than an adult teacher who is incredibly talented as an educator who happens to have anxiety and adhd. it just wasn't sitting well with me for positive representation.
This was really good!!! Both MC's were complex, flawed, but so so loveable.
Marvin was so cute, he was anxious, and couldn't tell when Olan was flirting (so relatable). The sweetest kindergarten teacher! This book overall was very very overly sweet.
I liked seeing realistic attributes, and seeing them muddle through and overcome. Nothing was solved perfectly but they were like yes I need to work on this.
I mean a pretty good romance. Silly and boring at times but like every romcom. The conflict is not so stupid and that's great. The spice was good and cute ig.
It doesn't need a sequel tho
Ahh. It was a little long and it struggled to keep my interest. I did read the entire book and it was a sweet romance. Marvin needs to work on his mental for sure. He's 29 and multiple times runs away from something that makes him uncomfortable.
Spiciness: 🌶️🌶️🌶️
WHEW! What a debut!
I've never read a teacher parent romance, and now I need more 😩
Although a five star read, I wish we had dual POVs to see Olan's side of everything. I also just think it would have been real cute to see his thought process when he first started crushing on Marvin 🥹
I can't wait for this series to continue I know it's gonna be a fave ✨
