Take Me Apart

There were parts of this that I liked a lot - the way the things that Miranda left behind told her story, the depiction of the dark underbelly of the 80s art scene, for example. But the main character's storyline was not compelling at all and the stuff about her mental illness felt weird and voyeuristic in a way that the stuff about Miranda didn't. I liked the ending but it isn't enough to save this mess of a novel. This also isn't really a thriller. It was kind of slow and boring.
