Sweet Tooth, Volume 1: Out of the Deep Woods

I've seen this talked about throughout the years but I was never in a rush to read it. Once Netflix announced the release date for the adaptation I knew I wanted to read this graphic novel series. I didn't read anything about this going in so I went in pretty much blind. The graphics were amazing but a little “dull” for me. Put for the overall story I think it fit I just prefer bright graphics. This was also pretty graphic. Honestly I kind of expected this to be a graphic novel for kids but that is definitely not the case. As I said it it pretty graphic and the subject matter definitely isn't for kids. I think it was a great start to a series but not a whole lot happens in this one and we are just thrust into the story so we don't really get to know the characters or what is really going on in this post apocalyptic world but I am hopeful that we will learn more in the following books which I will be reading very soon.
