Socialism With Chinese Characteristics

This book gives the reader an introduction into the approach taken by Chinese Communists.

Since its inception in Shanghai in July of 1921, the Communist Party of China has raised up the application of Marxist principles to Chinese historical, social, and material conditions as a foundational value, and a requirement for national salvation and socialist construction. This Socialism with Chinese Characteristics owes its greatest earliest contributions to the work of Chairman Mao Zedong, who drew from the rich history of the Chinese people and began applying Marxist theory to their conditions in a way no other thinker or revolutionary had at the time. Not as a matter of dogma, or ideal, but of science. Chairman Deng Xiaoping, a contemporary of Chairman Mao, would go on to further refine the application of Mao Zedong Thought and expand upon the work of his Comrade, and apply the ideological framework that would become known as Socialism with Chinese Characteristics. President Xi Jinping, current General Secretary of the Communist Party of China, has in turn likewise made groundbreaking strides in the further development and application of these principles to Chinese conditions; not only has his work held true to the founding vision of the Communist Party, but under his administration the Chinese people have begun reaping the greatest rewards from the century of diligent work and struggle that began all those years ago in Shanghai. While many Comrades from each successive generation have made countless contributions to the development of Chinese Socialism, Camrades Mao, Deng, and Xi, stand as titans of history. It is only natural, then, to begin any study of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics with its three most stalwart builders, champions, and defenders.
