So much better than I had hoped!
Chemistry between the love interest from the very beginning to the end - we stan!

I was sold at pirate.

I was worried at first that this book would follow the same pattern as the first book, but it doesn't so yay! I really liked the story and plot to this one and feel it was done better than the first. Still, the ending seemed almost too much of an HEA, but wasn't as over the top as I feel the first is done.

This couple is very much, insta-love. Girl, he kidnapped you... dislike him a little bit, maybe???
But, I think they are cute. I don't understand her power too much, but oh well. The side couple honestly almost stole the show for me– you go, Sister!! ;)

Very much looking forward to reading the next book :)

This is the second book in Sparks' Embraced series. I liked the first book, and equally liked this one.

This has paranormal elements, but to me this reads like fantasy romance.

It is the writing, for me anyways, that makes this a good read. Sparks has a way of adding quite a hefty dose of humor to her writing so that there is not many times where this story does not make you snicker about one thing or another.

I recommend this to fans of the author and the genre. thanks
