Smarter Faster Better

I read the first ~40% of this and then wandered off for a few months and picked it up again after reading Thinking, Fast and Slow (which is a quite good unintentional companion read to this one). Some interesting ideas here, though it's a little heavy on the storytelling for my tastes (and CW: there is a quite scary chapter about a plane crash, so if you have any kind of flying anxiety, or god forbid are thinking of reading this on a plane, definitely skip that one).
