She Came to Slay

She Came to Slay is short and sweet. It's really straightforward and should be easily digestible for pretty much anyone. I really enjoyed the reading experience and learning so much more about such an incredible woman. I highly recommend it.

This was a very clear and detailed story about Harriet Tubman. Harriet is a true gutsy woman. I am so proud of her for everything she accomplished. I wish I had just a small amount of her courage. One of my librarian friends recommended this book to me. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to know the struggles that blacks and especially black women had to endure during enslavement. It is also good to see how far (yet not near far enough) this country has come since Harriet was a child. Harriet is a true pioneer of America.
