Misscomunications are the main form of plot progression, the second being powers that work only when the plot needs them to. Friends to lovers only not such good friends as to trust them with vital information. Im keeping secrets for your own good. Can predict the plot from page one, but it's stretched out through the power of misscomunications. Something always seems to be happening and yet it feels super slow. 

This is one of my favourite reads of the year. After reading a few dark books I really needed to cleanse my palate and this book was suggested to me and I'm sooooo glad it was  It certainly wasn't a fast paced story which I usually enjoy the most but I was still sucked right in. It also had friends to lovers trope which I'm usually not interested in and the first 80% of the book I struggled to see the chemistry but for some reason it worked. I enjoyed and will certainly continue the series.
