Seagrass Pier

I knew it would be weird to read about the transferred memories from a heart transplant, and some parts were really creepy about that. I haven't studied the science behind it, but the memories and personality change gave the story a bit of a supernatural flair. There was also a lot of romantic thoughts/attractions/kisses between the two leads. A child was conceived out of wedlock but the parents have both sought God's forgiveness for this; however, they are alone together at night in several instances. Not the smartest idea when both are continually thinking of the other with strong attraction.

Other than that, a mostly good mystery that kept me guessing.

The historical flashbacks were a distraction and weren't ever properly tied to the modern story. I felt that some motivations could have been explained in a much more solid and succinct way.

But it's got some really, really nice human interest spots in it which show family relationships and friendships in a very realistic and heartfelt way and it has a great message on marriage and family. The Christian part is underplayed but present.
