Scent of Magic

Really enjoyed this book.

This is the second book in the trilogy. I'm excited to read the last book but, also... not. Don't get me wrong I absolutely loved this book I just thought something was missing. It really did seem like a middle book, setting the reader up for grand excitement in the finale. I think I just wanted more from this one.

The more I think about it, the more my thoughts go back to how there was still no real explanation of time period, this is like a weird alter universe where people travel on horses and sleep outdoors yet, have silk pajamas and advancements with metal. I don't mind too much but, sometimes I felt confused.

Also, I missed the Kerrick and Avry moments... really missed them. Honestly, I missed the whole group interactions.

I'm hoping for a great end of the trilogy and I'm excited to know how it ends.
I'll miss Tohon. Damn it, I hate when I like the bad guy.... hopefully he makes another appearance.

I'm really tempted just to finish this trilogy up but, I've got other books that need reading!!
