Saga, Vol. 2

Would have been five stars, but I keep thinking of the drawings of the giant. Let me tell you, its not a pretty picture to keep seeing when you're trying to eat.

So sometimes a first volume can amaze you, but then the second volume and subsequent volumes fall short. That IS NOT the case with Saga. Maybe even stronger than the first volume, this one continues the story in fine fashion, extending the world and characters without loosing sight of the heart of it, that I was so happy with the first time around. Additional characters add interesting aspects to the story and continue to make the epic scope of the story grounded in something so ‘human', although there isn't a single human to be found among the characters. A wonderful blending of fantasy and sci-fi makes this a unique and truly one-of-a-kind graphic novel.
