Saga, Vol. 1

Wow! There is a whole lot of wonderful weird in this graphic novel, but I LOVE it! So imaginative and so interesting, I'm not sure I've read anything quite like it. What makes it even more awesome is how among all the the strange characters and weird worlds, there is a whole lot of heart. A young family just starting out, but with a hell of lot on their plate since they're from opposite sides of a waging war and have brought a child into the world that is a mix of them both. Their family dynamics is really what caught me up in this. They love each other and their child and it is SO wonderful to see this play out in a fantasy/sci-fi setting. The artwork is amazing and the dialogue snappy and real. I just loved it and look forward to reading more!
