something was just off, throughout: the writing and the foreshadowing were just not it. The narrative felt very conversational to me and the fortune cookie sayings were everywhere. However, I didn't want to put the book down, so credit where it's due.
The ‘plot twist' was pretty good imo because i couldn't predict it bahaha T_T. The past and present pov is also done pretty well and while there were a few plot holes; I thought the letters were from someone else throughout so, i was pretty shocked towards the end.

Overall, creepy, decent imagery and good characterisation with a flowing storyline. You should definitely give it a chance:D
