I was drawn to this book originally because of the formatting. Half of the book is told from Lyra's POV and the other half is told from Gemma's POV. You can either read from one perspective first and then switch and read the other or you can switch back and forth like I did. I would read 1 chapter from Lyra and then switch to Gemma and it doesn't matter whose perspective you start with. I will say that going about it like I did can get slightly annoying at first but after a while it didn't bother me but I would suggest using a long string to make it easier to switch back and forth.

I am going to start with my issues first that way we can end on a positive. First up I had an issue with how much Gemma referred to her size and then eventually Lyra started taking about how she didn't like the way she (she as in herself not Gemma) looked either It's like they were constantly putting themselves down and that really annoyed me . And the other thing that kind of felt off to me was the romance. I thought the romance in this book felt out of place. The book would have been just as good without it (Gasp). I can't believe me a romanced obsessed book nerd is saying the romance didn't quite work.

Other than those two things I really enjoyed this book. It was fast paced and different to what I am used to reading. I don't really read a whole lot of Sci-fi and I don't think I've ever read a book about clones. There was some scientific aspects to it that went over my head but it was only a small part and I just read through it pretty quickly.

Another thing I enjoyed was the romance. Now here me out I know I just said the romance felt out of place and I stand by that statement but I still found the romance to be cute and I am always rooting for characters to find love.

The book ends on a cliffhanger but it's one of those cliffhangers that wrap up the current book but leaves things wide open for the second book which are the types of cliffhangers I like. I will definitely be picking up the second book because I was left with some questions after finishing this one and I want to know how things end.
