Red Rain

This was so dumb.

I never read Goosebumps, I was already reading Stephen King in elementary school so I don't have that Goosebump nostalgia for RL Stine. So I don't mind saying this was the dumbest book I've ever read.

First of all, he should have taken out the pathetic sex scenes and just marketed it as a middle grades book. The writing is juvenile as if Stine believes all readers can only understand childish writing. The twins could have been creepy, but he gave them laser eyes and made their big evil plan to “RULE THE SCHOOL” and maybe also “RULE THE POOL”. What the actual fuck?

With language like “boyo” and 30-ish adults calling each other “dear” and “darling” it read like a book by Mary Higgins Clark from the early 90s. And that ending....I hate everything about this book.
