2.5 stars. Numerous stories about sex, drugs, and rock & roll, which becomes numbingly dull after a while when told through Hynde's matter of fact, unemotional voice. It's late in the story (80%) before we actually get to the Pretenders' first album, worldwide fame, and the drug-related deaths of the band's lead guitarist and bassist within a year of each other. The book abruptly stops there, and I ended up not knowing much more about Chrissie Hynde than when I started besides how many drugs she took and how many men she shagged.
