"You got married on your divorce-cation?"
That would unfortunately be correct.
I was hanging with the girls, celebrating my divorce, when I saw him - my crush, sitting in the corner of the bar, and all alone. Being single and looking for a wild night, I asked him if he wanted to join me. To my delight, he said yes.
Drinks were consumed, fun was had, and then....one drunken conversation with a cranky gondolier in Las Vegas led to an Uber lift through a drive-through wedding chapel with the incredibly hot British bad boy Pike Greyson. On paper, it seemed like I had hit the jackpot. And if I wasn't fresh from a toxic marriage, I would have absolutely noticed the finer things about him.
But I wanted nothing to do with being married, so when I arrived back home from my eventful weekend in Vegas, the last thing I expected to see was a new doting husband already moved in. I asked for an annulment; he pulled a Ross Geller and said no. That's right, he said no! Instead, he asked for three months to prove we could be good together.
Insanity clearly knocked him in the head, and the only way I could convince him to give up on our sham of a marriage was to show him just how wrong we were for each other. The only problem with that was, he saw right through my every prank, every trick, and every yearning emotion I attempted to mask.

“You have given yourself to me, which means I get all of you, the past, your thoughts, your baggage. I want all of it. No holding back.”
This book was funny, sexy and such amazing rom-com from Meghan Quinn.
I always love the way Meghan writes and her characters and stories, this books wasn't the exception.
Cora was an amazing character to read, and I love her friendship with Stella, Greer (I have to read their books) and Keiko (please, she is so nerd, was so funny, i love her). I love a book with a good friendship in it. Pike was a surprise cause at the beginning I thought he was grumpy and a lonely guy, but the way he was with Cora, im in love.
The trope “marriage of convenience” was amazing and funny to read specially when Cora wanted to get the divorce and Pike wanted to stay married. These two
Beautiful rom-com by the queen!
Meghan Quinn never fails to write a fantastic book...and Put Me In Detention is no exception.
Cora is in Vegas on a divorc-ation. After finally divorcing her horrible ex, she is determined to endulge in the single life.
Pike is in Vegas for a golf tournament. Of course, he's also there to spite his father.
Since Pike and Cora know each other from Chicago, they end up drunk in Vegas, and leave as Mr and Mrs.
Pike and Cora are amazing. The chemistry, the banter, the pranks and the love...all of it was perfect.
Watching these two come together was beautiful...and seeing them fall apart was heart breaking. The forced Proximity in this book was just amazing! I was so glad to see them happy at the end ❤️.
One word, or name rather, Keiko! So you know that you will laugh out loud. I truly love Meghan's stories and Put me in Detention was the perfect way to kick off 2022. It's full of pranks, jokes, friendship, laugh out loud antics and just sweet & heartfelt emotions.
Pike & Cora may have started off with a drunken night ending in a crazy dare but they proved to each other that the heart (and fate) knows what it's doing. Huzzah!
Vanessa {love her} & John {eep a new narrator to me with a yummy British accent} kept me captivated and truly brought Pike and Cora to life.
