This was excellent. I did not read the first book in the series, but if it's half as good as this one, it wins. Great recommendation for kids in first, second, and maybe third grade. Here is why: this book tackles some tough topics: accusing people of crimes before you have evidence, lying, finding out your hard work may not lead to the results you want, the importance of civic support for nonprofit endeavors, and so much more. I think it could be a bit more diverse, but otherwise it's excellent.
