**AGATHA CHRISTIE is the author of more than 80 novels and story collections. Her books have sold well over 400,000,000 copies and have established her fame worldwide as the foremost mystery writer of our time.**
If Sir Stafford Nye had not accepted the beautiful young woman's challenge and let her steal his scarlet-lined cloak, they would not--together--have entered a sinister world of intrigue and death!
"Suspenseful story-telling and character delineation....Consummate art." **--Best Sellers**

I am working through all of Christie's mysteries and am almost done. Yay! But boo, this one may have been her worst book ever, and there are definitely a few bad ones in there. (I suppose there are bound to be when you write a book a year!)
Here's why: It is boring with too many characters that you don't care about, and full of fascist youth-centered ideology that goes on for pages and pages, which I think you are supposed to disagree with but honestly it is hard to tell. The plot is practically non-existent but loosely follows a world-domination scheme that is, sadly, melodramatic and ridiculous. Oh, and there is a conspiracy theory about Hitler in there that comes out of left field.
It is almost as if Christie wanted to write her very own James Bond but failed miserably. Unless you have a goal to read all of Christie like me—don't bother.
