This book probably would be entertaining if you were of the time frame of much of the music and pop culture, I just struggled to relate/stay interested.
What a perfect book - full of heart, humor and honesty. The strongest part was his description of his pre-MTV years, when he desperately tried to fit in to both a preppy, sporty Catholic high school and college that he was obviously poorly suited for. I was so moved and entertained by his writing that I immediately Googled and read all of the articles he wrote for the Vulture and Esquire websites.
