Onyx Storm

There is no doubt that things from the first two novels in the series are significantly elevated in this threequel - from the scale to the action to the deaths, and especially the explicit and carnal nature of the main relationship. While the ‘50 Shades of Gray' elements were an underlying part of both prior books, here they seemed more prevolent and noticeably felt closer to half of the focus rather than just a part of the story. That aside, this has alll of the same pace, tension, and strong character work (even if you don't recognize or remember the new ones througout) that continues to be supported by great dialogue and an author that continues to resist the tempation to pull any punches - fully evident in more epic battles and another strong cliffhanger.
