Oh this was so good. Everyone – every single character in the book – felt like a real person that you could run into in your life. August, the main character, was perfect. A little unsure of herself, anxious and jumpy. Eventually she's dragged into a friendship with her roommates, and then you get to know them even better.
The relationships in this book are so modern, and fulfilling. A complete joy to read. Oh yeah, and this book is very clearly, and very wonderfully QUEER. Just so queer. There's gay, bi, lesbian, and trans rep.
I really really liked it. Now fully aboard the read-anything-by-Casey McQuiston-train.
