Just didn't believe the two MCs could fall completely and irrevocably in love based on the few conversations they had as bad boy astronaut and mission control communicator. The TV interview transcripts that laid out the astronaut's backstory were more compelling IMO. The author barely hides her contempt for Barack Obama's decision to de-fund NASA's manned missions to the moon, which inserted an unnecessary political edge to an otherwise anodyne story.
