Now I finally have a real Dr. Seuss book for my girls. We have been collecting the palm size board books, but I recently discovered they were abridged and I had no clue! While I am not a fan of the Seuss artistry, I do love the vernacular. It makes me smile and for some reason it makes me think of my dad. I think that this will be great for a good many things like counting and colors as well as rhymes. Right now AppleBlossom isn't willing to sit through the whole thing, but she did want me to keep reading it while she was nearby playing - coming by every few pages to check on an image or part of the story.

I'm not ashamed to admit that as an adult woman I very much enjoyed this book. I'm not even going to use a little nephew as an excuse!
This is a very adorable book! With very interesting uses of rhyme and alliteration, it's an excellent tool for anyone who's learning English, young and adults alike.
