3.5 A nice read. But nothing more. Scalzi proves to be a great with words and story building. The read is swift and condensed enough to be enjoyable throughout the whole book. My only problem is somehow the triviality of the social and psychological implications of the technologies described. Great ideas, but maybe too shallowly explored at points. On the other hand that may be what makes it an easy read.
