This was actually worse than book #2 (Deepsix). You could cut 60% or so of this book and not lose anything important to the plot or the characters.

Worse, the author has comments at the beginning of the audible version and shows disgust over the material, namely UFOs and the Academy version of them. If you dislike the concept Jack, don't use it?

Near the end there was enough interesting stuff and better writing to keep this from being a two star review, barely.
