Franz Kafka (ur. 3 lipca 1883 w Pradze, zm. 3 czerwca 1924 w Kierling) - niemieckojezyczny pisarz pochodzenia zydowskiego, przez cale zycie zwiazany z Praga. W swoich powiesciach stworzyl model sytuacji zwanej sytuacja kafkowska i okreslanej w jezyku niemieckim za pomoca przymiotnika "kafkaesk", ktorego istota jest konflikt zniewolonej jednostki z anonimowa, nadrzedna wobec niej instancja. Deformacja groteskowa, niejednoznaczne, paraboliczne obrazy oraz poczucie zagrozenia i niepewnosci skladaja sie na panorame literackiego swiata Kafki.

Writers should make sure they finish their work or otherwise they should prevent that incomplete story from being published. Or at least leave a note explaining what they wanted to illustrate in that story from the beginning.

A LOT of absurd situations! Plus, the story and the main character were annoying most of the time.

Couldn't help but feel that the entire story is some sort of (existensialist / modernist) allegory, and that there's a key missing, which would give the story great meaning and purpose (and would have bestowed upon the reader such comprehension they would feel illuminated at the end of the lecture).
