The Bobiverse is a different place in the aftermath of the Starfleet War, and the days of the Bobs gathering in one big happy moot are far behind. There’s anti-Bob sentiment on multiple planets, the Skippies playing with an A.I. time bomb, and multiple Bobs just wanting to get away from it all.
But it all pales compared to what Icarus and Daedalus discover on their 26,000-year journey to the center of the galaxy. Sure, it could settle the Fermi Paradox for good (and what Bob doesn’t want to solve a mystery of the universe?). But it also reveals a threat to the galaxy greater than anything the Bobs could have imagined.
Just another average day in the Bobiverse.

This series continues to captivate me. While keeping track of the multiple generations of Bob can be challenging, I always find myself disappointed when I reach the end of a book and realize there are no more installments to read.
I thoroughly enjoyed the latest book. My only criticism is that the ending felt abrupt and lacked a clear resolution in terms of its content and storyline.
It's been a while (3.5 years) since I listened to Heaven's River, so my memory of the characters and where things left off was fuzzy. I did mostly get back into things after a bit without feeling the need to look for recap.
The book was enjoyable enough that it kept my attention, but it also sort of felt like a bit of a transition book. There were like 4 main plot lines, and all of them felt like setup for more books. I'm good with that, I'll read more books.
I thought it ended in a fine place where I'm looking forward to the next book but not going to be impatient for it to come out. There are lots of loose threads but nothing I'd call a cliffhanger.
Audio narration was fantastic as usual. Ray Porter is excellent.
The Bobiverse series is my favourite, always leaving me eager for the next book.
While I can't give it a full 5-star rating because there's often a storyline involving one of the Bobs that doesn't fully capture my interest, this doesn't detract from the overall enjoyment.
Each Bob has their own adventures, and while these can be significant, they don't disrupt the main narrative if you choose not to focus on them.
It can be challenging to keep track of all the Bobs and their plotlines, especially if it's been a while since reading the last book.
Despite this, the series remains incredibly engaging and enjoyable.
