Convoluted back stabbing political(religious?) structures! Heresy! Spies! Betrayal! “Strong military culture” as a backhanded compliment. Sentient robot collective (wasted I thought but maybe will come up later in the series?) Strong “burn this the fuck down” vibes. I read this straight through and was completely book-hungover after.
