I am so bored and cannot imagine pushing through another seven stories. This book also uses italics way too much.

Salinger's Nine Stories were a little hit-or-miss for me; I absolutely loved “Perfect Day for Bananafish” and “For Esme” but a few of the others fell flat for me. All in all, though, the book is an incredible read. I couldn't put it down.

I was not expecting to enjoy these as much as I did. Such tight, economical storytelling while having a sense of humour and not being too spare. The stories are such a product of their time but still relate to this time too. Loved the last two stories the most. Loved his genius children.
