Let me just say, I will EASILY read another volume of this. I loved every minute of this story! Deadpool wakes up from a food coma to a zombie apocalypse. Going from good food to the undead is no fun. The artwork was great and flowed with the story. Everything was black and white minus Deadpool which was to easily identify him from the others. His humor was spot on and from the other Deadpool comics I have read, this can be a hit or a miss.
The Tiffany reference was gold.
The ending is what makes this lose a star from me. I found it to be kind of a cop-out and I actually wanted Deadpool to find a cure which would have been a bad ending as well. The ending kind of killed it.
I almost forgot to mention that my grandpa got this for me for only $2.99 so that was a steal!
The art style in this book is absolutely striking! The world is monochromatic except for our last remaining ‘hero' Deadpool. This art style brings out a very dread and dreary feeling that really makes Deadpool feel like the only hope left. [ There is a part when Deadpool gets bitten but the healing factor has not kicked in yet and he becomes a zombie. He still has thoughts in his head and is causing havoc. The art is really has an impact because he is drained of color in a panic and then slowly regains himself and his red comes back. AHH beautiful! (hide spoiler)] Pretty great book! The ending was quite a surprise and I'm hoping to see a second book. ~Ashley
Pretty amusing! The first Deadpool thing I've actually read. It hasn't deterred me from reading more.
