Somehow below average. This confused teen is going from one trouble to another, and I don't understand how could she be so oblivious to the fact that she herself provided personal data to a giant online game. She always seems surprised by the fact that the ~Nerve~ site copies a lot of her data from her ~ThisIsMe~ page, acting like a 4yo who just discovered internet and is always mesmerised. More than half of her problems are caused by the fact that she's weak and cares too much of how other people perceive her. Cliche teen dramas occur here - her best friend hits on the guy she secretly admires, she gets angry for this, even though she did not mention anything to that best friend about it, etc. In the final challenge of the nerve game, she clearly appears as the weakest participant. It became a hateable character in the first third of the book, for me. Easy to manipulate, weak, cares too much of other people's opinion, her worries are futile for an adult. Hard to relate, I guess it would be easier for a teen.
