My True Love Gave to Me

Such a fun Christmas short story, even though I'm reading it about a month late for Christmas. It was fun how the character names were often taken from the Biblical Christmas story, and I loved how clever the Texas versions of the 12 days of Christmas lyrics were interpreted.

This story is the perfect read to get into the Christmas spirit. It's heartwarming and laugh-out-loud at the same time. All of Simeon's gifts were just too clever.

Plus, it's a quick read that easily fits into a busy holiday schedule.
