Monkey Bridge

Monkey Bridge

1997 • 272 pages

This a slow novel, full of feelings, dreams of the past, present and future. There's nostalgia and despair, but also love and hope. It's hard to describe this book since the story is, in a way, quite simple. It's the emotions and sensations that are important here. It's a book that makes you understand a bit more how immigrants feel, especially those who leave their country because of war. I wouldn't read it twice, but I'm glad to have read it.
